How off grid works in basic words

Off grid works by using solar, wind, or hydroelectric energy, to create electricity. That energy is then channelled to charge a solar battery using a charger controller. There are three different ways to configure an off-grid system, DC-coupled, AC-coupled, and a combination of both.
